Our Story
It all started in a halfway house, 2025. Paper-thin walls. Chore charts. Coffee that tasted like a consequence. We learned fast that recovery isn’t tidy. It’s loud, messy, funny, boring, terrifying, and somehow hopeful all at once. We built something that could live there too.
CLEANSED by CHAOS™ began as scribbles on wrinkled worksheets and notes in the margins after group. We needed tools that didn’t talk down to us. Stuff that could handle a rage dump at 2 a.m., a tiny win at 2:07, and a laugh at 2:10. That’s how the Journal of Functional Breakdown was born. Then came the 911 Sober Card Deck, the micro-challenges, the stickers, the tees, and the raccoon with bed head who refuses to quit. (These items to come!)
Our semicolon is a promise. Pause, not stop. Keep the sentence going. Keep the day going. Keep going. Our raccoon is the mascot of stubborn hope. Scrappy. A little feral. Still here.
We believe humor is a life raft. Honesty is non-negotiable. Tiny wins count. Community beats isolation every time. We are not here to preach. We are here to hand you a pen, a prompt, and a reason to try again today.
If you’re in the halfway house, fresh out, or years down the road, you’re not alone. Bring your chaos. We’ll bring the pages, the prompts, the characters, and the courage to turn it into momentum. This is CLEANSED by CHAOS™. We make the mess useful.
